Notiophilus rufipes Curtis, 1829 (Coleoptera: Carabidae) - a new ground beetle species for North America

Bardevskis A. 2004. Notiophilus rufipes Curtis, 1829 (Coleoptera: Carabidae) - a new ground beetle species for North America. Baltic J. Coleopterol., 4 (1): 45 - 47.

The new in North America ground beetle Notiophilus rufipes Curt. was found for the ever first time (U.S.A.: Georgia). The determination key of this species adapted for North American fauna was elaborated. The Nearctic region is represented by 16 species but in the Western hemisphere there are 18 species among which 3 are species introduced from Europe.
