A tiger beetle eaten by fly: predation of Dasypogon diadema Fabr. (Diptera: Asilidae) on Cicindela hybrids L. (Coleoptera: Cicindelidae)

The first case of the robber fly Dasypogon diadema Fabr. predation on tiger beetle Cicindela hybrida L. is described. A short review of Cicindelidae anti-predator adaptations and relationships between the tiger beetles and their natural enemies is also given.
